My favourite games!
Pikmin 4
I spent the majority of my life without understanding exactly what Pikmin was, and out of chance, a Nintendo direct had caught my attention with its latest entry so I decided to give the free demo a shot; I was very amused by its mechanic and found the environments to be beautiful so I decided to take the jump and buy the full game. It didn't disappoint. I quickly fell in love with this world and its whimsical creatures, and the lore surrounding it! Even though I'm pretty sure none of the games explore how planet Earth 404 came to be, I still wanna visit the entire franchise and play the first entries to experience all of this world!
Splatoon 3
Splatoon was a franchise I knew existed but also didn't exactly understand what it was about. I think it was a Nintendo direct as well that clarified the concept a bit more. I tried the demo and participated in the first Splatfest of the third entry. I was confused but very fascinated by the world presented to me, the style, the personality! I took the jump to buy the full game. Nowadays I have over a thousand hours in Splatoon 3 and it's definitely the most I have played a PVP game. I have grown pretty burnout to the point I'm taking a major break from it, but I can't wait to return one day and invest many hours in Salmon Run again~
Hitman WOA
It seems like my favourite games keep being the ones I randomly came across by pure chance and without knowing anything about them prior, because Hitman (specifically 2016) also fits the bill. I happened to acquire this game because a friend offered it for free to me! The mechanics confused me a bit at first, but I could feel I was in for something very special... I absolutely love how much freedom Hitman gives you to tackle your target any way whatsoever, and how rewarding it feels when your effort pays off! The story of this game is very serious and dramatic, and yet filled with absurdity and hilarious moments.
