subject: Got into coding!
date
Decided to start learning HTML and CSS so I could make a cool Neocities site! So I've been into that recently!

subject: Still tweaking...
date
I'm kind of losing steam with my learning, and even though I made huge progress (I never thought making a site like this would ever be within my skill!) there's still parts my brain simply doesn't get. I also want to do other stuff instead of obsessing over coding... like zines.

subject: Navigator added!
date
I always think I'm almost done with the site, then I find out a bunch of things that need
fixing or
can be improved, or added! I've been having the navigator idea for a while, though I'm
still unsure about
what else I can add... I'm sure I'll think of something eventually.
I keep wondering how many bizarre choices I'm
making with my site, but as long as it works... '''''

subject: Back into gaming
date
I'm not as interested anymore in developing further the site so tweaks will become more rare. I'm playing more games lately and finishing a bunch of them, so I'll be mostly updating the site to reflect that. I think it's already pretty cool I learned enough to make a site like this in the first place!

subject: Trying new things
date
The second half of February has been interesting. I took an interest in swimming and have been going to the pool for a while. My town also started holding a ton of cultural events, so I've been attending plays as well. I've been playing less games and working more, which has felt good. My mood and energy has improved, and I have good feelings about the beginning of Spring. There are still steps to be taken, but they are being taken.

subject: Bit of a hiccup
date
I was doing pretty great and then I got a cold that sent everything out of the window.
I'm healed now, but it's been a bit hard to get back on track. My coding skills are
also starting to fade, whoops. I lost a bit of interest but I'll keep trying to update
every now and then to remember.
I'm really enjoying swimming, so that's something
I've been consistent at. Recently I also learned about the Fediverse, as well as the
value of
open-source software, which gives me hope for the future, in this environment where
every mainstream socmed and paid software keep getting worse.
I feel like lately I've been busier than ever, despite not doing much? But I keep going
outside, exercising, attending social events, and finding new things to get
interested in. I feel like I'm finally living, instead letting time pass. It's nice.

subject: Anxiety battles
date
It's been very tiresome lately. The fact remains I'm still a depressed and anxious
autistic
person, so often I can't just do stuff for long, at least not without getting
terribly tired and
requiring to recover for days if not weeks before I can finally do stuff again.
I had to
stop going to the pool, my work output is gone, and I don't wanna do anything at all.
The beginning
of the last week has been a blur where I tried to simply rest, specially considering I
was about
to have an event that would require me to go outside and interact with people for 3 days
in a row.
The good news is that resting did help me, and while these days have been tiring, they
also were very
fun and enjoyable, and I'm feeling renewed and like my pace will soon pick up again!
I still grieve and feel ashamed that I didn't socialize as much as I wanted, due my
anxiety, but in the grand scheme
of things, I did better and pushed myself more than I would've in the past, so it
doesn't stop being a little
win.
I'm having a bit of an interest in videogame development (that's what the
event was about)
and I don't know if anything will come out of it, but it's something I've been
researching a bit! It's funny,
it seems like 2026 is finally the year where I'm taking a genuine interest in computer
stuff. Maybe my
brain will finally open to the idea of math and whatnot. I mean, I was able to finally
learn HTML sorta,
so... (I am aware HTML and CSS are vastly different from programming languages, but to
me it's still huge
I finally had the capacity to grasp the former!)
I'm also thinking about making
more personal little sites,
in other places...

subject: Cycle resetting...?
date
It's been a bit of a tough month and I might be misjudging, but I feel like stuff will
pick up soon again. I've been atending more plays without frustration; I am reading a
bit more
(the philosophy interest might be making a comeback), work is becoming less of an uphill
battle,
and even though not as often, I've been keeping up with my swimming pool visits and not
dropping
them entirely (VERY important).
There is some stuff/hobbies I am dropping, but I
don't fear
that it might mean I'll never revisit them anymore. I just seem to be in a constant
cycle where
my energy and interests rotate every few weeks. It's certainly annoying and
inconsistent, but it
seems it is who I am and how I work, and being aware of that has made things easier.

subject: Down
date
I've been resting and doing as little as possible to recover, but among the few things
I've done is learning more code; I recently started the Odin Project foundation course,
I don't know if I'll finish it sucessfully, but I am trying, and anything I learn will
be useful regardless. Related to that, kinda, I finally started working on more little
webpages, to add here.
One idea is to add shrines dedicated to the things/media/etc. that bring me joy, so I
can have a little corner that brings me a smile. I also want to have a page where I
share
my zines or zines I've found and enjoyed I don't have any other ideas at the moment, but
I know for sure I want to cultivate and expand my personal online space. If nothing
else, this little website and projects have been a good creative outlet and giving me
aspirations I didn't know I had.

subject: Feeling the way
date
It's been kinda rough lately. I'm still struggling with what I want to share in this website, on top of my usual life problems. I'll be more strict about keeping it as a tracker with some added thoughts, but not much more. I wanted to add a blog but I really don't feel that's something I feel comfortable with.

subject: Picking up, seemingly
date
The second half of May has been a bit more kind to me, and there's a few positive things
I've been doing.
My interest for learning coding and developing this site
further (outside of the usual little updates) is right now very low so I've dropped that
until it comes back to me. My creativity is right now elsewhere. Specifically, writing
and music. A recent good new is that I've finally unlocked the black keys in my piano
lessons, so that made me feel very achieved! It's something I've been looking forward
for a few months now.

subject: Living
date
June has been going pretty well, actually. There's some stuff I struggle with but I'm
getting to do a lot of what I want to. Returning to the gym and picking up the workout
routine and diet, as well as running. Of course I still swim, too. I'm not going outside
super often these days, but I earned a break at home because I did go outside a LOT
during the first half of June.
This month I'm not practicing code or music as much, but I'm doing other stuff, like
playing videogames again and focusing more in work. It's being a good month, but I hope
it gets better and I get the chance to go out and have fun again.
Also starting trying my hand at photography!

subject: Cautious
date
In July I spent a LOT of time drawing. Mostly for work but also some Art Fight. It's my
first time participating so I went really strong at first before inevitably losing
steam.
I'm glad with all the work I managed to do this month but I can also feel
the burnout, so I've been trying to slow down. Unfortunately, that wasn't the only con:
drawing so much made it so I wanted to do less of everything else, and my screen time is
increasing again. Luckily I keep showing up for my exercise time, but I'm cautious. I'm
hoping that once July ends, I can leave that feeling of "must draw" behind, and pick up
again all the other activities I've been neglecting, specially my music learning and my
reading.
Other than that, things are going well enough, and I played a lot of
videogames. My interest in coding and writing decreased a LOT, so sadly this page and my
journals are getting the worst of it.

subject: Awful
date
July ended with a string of terrible news that beat me down. I guess I was right to be cautious as per my last entry. I'm trying to remain strong but it is genuinely hard in the face of what happened. I still try to get up and get things done, and surprisingly, I manage to do so. Still, I wish I had more strength, support and comfort.

subject: Chilling, organizing and zines
date
August has been generally lazy. Out of chance I attended a little zine fair, where I had
a great time and acquired a bunch of very cool zines, booklets, sketchbooks and some
more. Reminded me of why I love zines!
I've been writing more, organizing and
cleaning, as well as doing more manual stuff. Digital has been feeling exhausting
lately. I'm wondering how Fall and Winter will feel, since I feel like a significant
different person from who I've been in the last years.
Also considering adding
more sections to this page, but since I'm not in a coding mood plus want to avoid
additional time at my PC, I'll likely do nothing for now.

About
I am Mars, an adult freelance artist. Some of my interests are art, zines, philosophy, games,
dubbing, and writing.
I am currently working towards figuring myself out and healing from depression and anxiety.
I am also learning piano, and more recently, HTML/CSS coding.
I made this site for the
purpose
of having a little corner of the internet that's mine, plus have a fun way to track my
interests. I might update it
frequently or not. I speak Galician, Spanish and English.
